"IMP ACTIVISM #4": This is the 4th issue (of 7 issues total) of an anarchist video-magazine that I edited from 1999 to 2005.  Each issue tried to present what I considered to be the most imaginative of humorous political activism that I ran across.  I'm not talking about Michael Moore or the Yes Men, whose work is certainly funny & whose work I've admired, I'm talking about the more obscure people who haven't been so much in the media spotlight (at least in the US).  This is the work (or, as I prefer, the Psychological Playfair) that is IMPISH that might have some IMPACT that you might not encounter without my editorial aid.  

There's Adam Grossi performing the simple act of jumping rope in front of a place where military research is being done.  Naughty, naughty.  There's a pastiche of footage edited together by myself intended to comment on the "100 Million Idiots" generated by TV watching.  There's a 1983 Thanksgiving Parade in Baltimore shot by John Ellsberry.  There's a documentary about the rejection of a highway project.  There's something from Australian eco-activists, the Lab Rats.  There's a Think Tank on one way to revise an automobile.  There's an excerpt from a narrative movie in which yours truly pontificates on a serious subject from a balcony in Baltimore in 1987.  There's a neoist movie about the eviction of the homeless from Thomkins Square Park in New York City.  There's a wry filmstrip about 'The White Man'.  There's something parodying racist skinheads.  & there's a spoof of the behind-the-scenes of Iraq-US relations.  Enjoy! - January 30, 2025 notes from tENTATIVELY, a cONVENIENCE
